Ditemukan Spesies Penghisap Darah Bob Marley

Penghargaan untuk musisi rupanya bukan hanya piagam, tapi bisa juga penggunaan nama sang musisi untuk suatu temuan spesies baru. Memang terdengar aneh tapi ini benar terjadi.

Seorang ahli biologi kelautan di sebuah universitas di Amerika, memberi nama Bob Marley untuk spesies parasit baru yang ditemukannya.

Parasit tersebut biasa ditemukan di terumbu karang, dan secara ekologi mirip dengan hewan penghisap darah seperti nyamuk atau kutu.

"Saya menamakan spesies ini, yang benar-benar sebuah keajaiban alam, karena rasa hormat dan kekaguman saya untuk musik Marley," kata Paulus Sikkel, si penemu spesies, seperti dilaporkan The Guardian. "Plus, spesies unik ini dari Karibia seperti Marley."

Tak hanya Bob Marley, nama king of rock n roll, Elvis rupanya juga pernah diberikan untuk spesies lebah.

Bahkan di awal tahun ini sekelompok peneliti di Australia juga menamai sejenis lalat langka dengan Beyonce. Lalat yang memiliki nama latin Scaptia Beyonceae ini pertama kali ditemukan pada 1981.

Seperti halnya pada komputer, smartphone berbasis Android pun bisa di-update firmwarenya.

Update firmware sebenarnya nggak begitu perlu buat pengguna biasa. Namun buat kisanak yang selalu mencari pengalaman penggunaan yang terbaik buat Android kisanak, maka upgrade firmware menjadi perlu. Rilis firmware yang dikeluarkan vendor pembuat smartphone biasanya selalu menitik beratkan pada perbaikan performa. Dan seringnya setelah upgrade firmware, smartphone tersebut akan menjadi lebih cepat dan lebih efisien.
Begitu juga smartphone Samsung Galaxy Y S-5360 saya. Setelah upgrade firmware ke dari versi 2.3.5 ke Gingerbread 2.3.6, penggunaan sehari-hari terasa lebih gesit, gejala lag saat berpindah aplikasi menjadi berkurang, dan manajemen memori yang lebih baik. Sebelum upgrade, sisa memori selalu dibawah 50 MB, namun setelah upgrade, sisa memori menjadi rata-rata 65-70 MB. Lumayan lah gan!
Upgrade firmware pada artikel ini mengacu pada smartphone Samsung Galaxy Y S-5360, dan komputer berbasis Windows XP SP2. Langkah upgrade firmware untuk smartphone kisanak bisa jadi berbeda. Tapi umumnya untuk smartphone Samsung sama saja langkah-langkahnya.

Persiapan Upgrade Firmware.
Sebelum terburu-buru melakukan upgrade firmware, mohon disiapkan dulu bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan:
1. Software KIES PC Sync Samsung. Download disini, atau instal dari CD yang terdapat di box Samsung kisanak.
2. Microsoft .NET 4.0. Download disini
3. Kabel data yang disediakan di box Samsung kisanak.
4. Komputer ber-USB port. Spesifikasi bebas dan OS Windows. Asal jangan jadul-jadul amat.
5. Koneksi internet
6. Kondisi Baterai 100% terisi (PENTING)

Catatan super penting:
Pastikan baterai 100% terisi, kabel data menancap dengan baik ke USB port, dan posisikan kabel USB dan smartphone kisanak di posisi yang aman, tidak terganggu oleh apapun. Langkah ini wajib dilakukan, karena proses upgrade firmware tidak boleh terganggu di tengah jalan. Jika proses upgrade terganggu, maka smartphone kisanak cukuplah jadi ganjal pintu saja he he he

Langkah-langkah Upgrade Firmware.
1. Instal Microsoft .Net 4.0.
Sebenarnya proses download Microsoft .Net 4.0 bisa dilakukan dari instalasi KIES PC Sync. Tapi ternyata software besutan Samsung ini cukup jelek untuk dijadikan software PC Sync resmi Samsung, jadinya banyak error disana-sini, dan si KIES PC Sync ini super duper lambat kerjanya! Jadi lebih baik download, dan instal secara terpisah Microsoft .Net 4.0-nya.
2. Instal KIES PC Sync. Sediakan kesabaran yang cukup untuk menunggu proses instalasi selesai.
3. Jalankan KIES PC Sync.
4. Lepaskan SIM Card, dan nonaktifkan Launcher lain selain Launcher bawaan Samsung. Bila perlu uninstal dulu aplikasi Launcher selain bawaan Samsung.
5. Nyalakan smartphone Samsung kisanak, dan tancapkan kabel data USB ke komputer dan ke smartphone.
Perhatian: Jangan gunakan USB di panel depan casing komputer, karena arusnya kurang tinggi. Tancapkan kabel data USB ke port belakang komputer.
6. Tunggu hingga KIES mendeteksi perangkat Samsung anda. Setelah beberapa saat, KIES akan menawarkan upgrade firmware. Klik UPDATE untuk melanjutkan.

7. Selanjutnya kisanak akan disuguhi tata cara upgrade firmware, centang yang ditandai merah seperti pada gambar, dan klik Start Upgrade.

8. Proses selanjutnya KIES akan men-download file firmware, dan tunggu hingga selesai.
9. Proses selanjutnya KIES akan menyiapkan file firmware, membuka enkripsi file firmware dan memulai proses upgrade.

10. Setelah proses diatas, smartphone dan komputer kisanak TIDAK boleh mati, karena di tahap inilah proses upgrade firmware dimulai. Lama proses upgrade bergantung pada smartphone dan komputer yang kisanak gunakan.
11. Bila proses upgrade selesai, akan muncul konfirmasi bahwa proses ugrade firmware berhasil.

Samsung Galaxy Y merupakan smartphone terbaru dari Samsung yang akan segera di rilis di Indonesia.  Harga Samsung Galaxy Y cukup murah dibanding dengan Smartphone Samsung lainnnya, akan tetapi tetap memiliki spesifikasi yang sangat bagus. Samsung Galaxy Y memiliki desain yang hampir sama dengan Samsung galaxy Ace, akan tetapi ukurannya sangat berbeda. HARGA DAN SPESIFIKASI SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10

The Xperia X10 is Sony Ericsson’s first smartphone to feature Google’s Android OS, and it comes with a range of impressive specifications. SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10 features a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854. It is powered by a Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor and had an eight megapixel camera with built in autofocus and an LED flash. There is also integrated WiFi, and A-GPS. The Sony Ericsson X10 comes with Google Android 1.6 plus a custom user interface from Sony.
You get 1GB of storage built in and it also comes with an 8GB microSD card as standard. Other features include an accelerometer and a proximity sensor, Bluetooth 2.1 and support for HSDPA and HSUPA connectivity. The first thing we noticed about the Xperia X10 when we were unboxing it is the packaging, it comes packaged in a similar way to the Apple iPhone. Inside the box there is a micro USB cable, plus an AC adapter, and a set of headphones.
After unwrapping the X10 the first thing you notice is the screen, at 4 inches it is pretty big, the display is crisp and clear, and the colors are nice and bright. Below the large 4 inch display there are three buttons that are used for navigation as well as the touchscreen, and it features a custom UI from Sony with a couple of cool functions called Timescape and Mediascape.
The UI seems pretty good, although it did take a little while to get used to, but once you have learned how to navigate your way around, it works pretty well. One thing we would have liked to have seen on the X10 is multitouch, although this could possibly be added when Sony update the Android OS to 2.1, this hasn’t been confirmed by Sony as yet.
The SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10 features a eight megapixel camera with an LED flash and autofocus, the camera works pretty well, and is definitely one of the most impressive ones we have tested on a smartphone.

As well as being able to take still photos, the X10′s camera is also capable or recording video in WVGA at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. The X10 does a good job with video, and it is definitely more capable of recording decent quality video clips than some of the other mobile phones with video cameras we have tested.
Where the Sony Ericsson really shines is with music, and video, Sony’s Mediascape application is great and it makes it really easy to access your photos, music and videos, and it displays your most recently played media. The audio quality of the X10 is very good, and the bundled headphones that come with it do a reasonable jobs, although if you add a quality pair of headphones to the X10 you will be impressed with the sound quality.
Video is also very good on SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10, and it looks great on that large 4 inch screen. One thing we would have liked is support for DiVX and XviD files, lets hope this is something that Sony adds in the future. The X10 comes with a built in web browser, to be honest it isn’t the best browser we have seen, and takes a little getting used to, but once you have played about with it a bit it isn’t to bad, although this really isn’t a problem as there are lots of browser options available from the Android Market.
The SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10 has some interesting features, we really liked the design, and it is very well built, and the 4 inch capacitive touchscreen is impressive and great for videos and photos, and the UI is easy to use and quite user friendly. Overall considering that the Xperia X10 is Sony Ericsson’s first smarpthone to feature Google’s Android OS, I would say they have done a pretty good job. The only downside to the Xperia X10 is that it comes with Android 1.6 and not Android 2.1
This is something that Sony intend to address as they will be releasing an update for the X10 that will give it Google Android 2.1, which should make the Xperia X10 into an impressive Android smartphone. If you are in the market for an Android Smartphone, we would definitely recommend checking out the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
